FREE School Supplies & FREE Books! Upcoming Parent Center Back-to-School Event

The Parent Center, which is a great resource for parents and has frequent  workshops, will be hosting a FREE Back-to-School Event on Monday, August 31^st from 12:00PM to 2:00PM. The event will be held at 301 Henry Street, New York, NY 10002 in the gymnasium and will include FREE school supplies for children and FREE books for babies, school-age children, teens, and adults!

A light lunch will be provided, along with story time and coloring activities for children.

Once in a lifetime FREE swimming instruction from Olympic Gold Medalist

Olympic Gold Medalist Anthony Ervin and former Imagine Swimming instructor will be holding a FREE clinic at Imagine Swimming's local East Village Pool on Thursday August 13th from 12:00-2:00pm at 720 E 11th St (between Ave C & Szold Place). 

It's an opportunity for children 7 & up who are passionate about swimming to get instruction and meet an Olympic Gold Medalist.

While my daughter will be disappointed with me (a devoted Girl Scout), I bought a Girl Scout cookie knock off at Big Lots yesterday. Yum!!  And, at only $1.40 versus a hefty $4 for the original, it's more than doubly delicious!
