What I'm reading now...

I randomly picked this book up from the library a few weeks ago and just got around to read it.  (I have to return it ASAP since it is put on hold by someone so it cannot be renewed).

It's an easy read filled with anti clutter tips and a very detailed cleaning list. I like that it's not just about household clutter but meal planning, DIY cleansers, and all sorts of stuff to streamline your life.

FREE Lunch May 10 at Union Square to Highlight Food Waste

To highlight and prevent food waste, FEEDING THE 5000 will sponsor a feast. See below for details and how to volunteer. It’s a great cause and food waste is something we should work to minimize. By doing so, we would save money, time, and the environment.

FEEDING THE 5000 NYC
May 10, 2016 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Union Square, North Plaza

Feeding the 5000 NYC will be taking over the North Plaza of Manhattan’s historic Union Square Park. Thousands of members of the public will be provided with a delicious free feast, sourced entirely from fresh top-quality produce that would have otherwise been wasted. But that’s not all: 5000 further meals will also be prepared and transported to City Harvest’s network of soup kitchens and food pantries throughout the city!

To get involved, why not volunteer? Spread the word! Invite your friends to the Facebook event page NYC Disco Chop Party! We love communities to get involved with the lead up to Feeding the 5000 events. Come along to the NYC Disco Chop Party, where volunteers will groove to music while peeling and chopping rescued vegetables to be served at the main festival.

The NYC Disco Chop will take place from 4:00pm – 8:00 pm on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Holy Apostles Church. Why not take part? There will also be further Feeding the 5000’s across the US as the food waste movement is catalysed in 2016 and beyond – if you would like to learn more about how to organise your own event, please get in contact with pascale@feedbackglobal.org.

I pledge to reduce my food waste and want businesses to do the same. See more. Join The Movement 45,265 and counting! TWITTER Tweets by @feedbackorg · · · · · PUTTING A STOP TO GLOBAL FOOD WASTE CONNECT WITH US
