Greek Jewish Festival

Sounds like fun!!

Phase One

The compost is in and the seedlings (tomatoes, green peppers, eggplant, rosemary, lettuce mix, and parsley) are planted in the ground. We also planted watermelon and peas from seed. I'm skeptical that the seeds will grow since the package said they expired quite some time ago. Well, they say that some seeds from King Tuts' pyramid still germinated, so maybe these will too. :)

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there.

Enjoy your special day!

What I'm reading now...

I was trolling one of my favorite places on earth, the library, and came accross this title.  be thrifty...not cheap edited by Pia Catton and Califia Suntree. It came out in 2010 but it's chock full of excellent tidbits like how to haggle, what's it worth to garden, cheap meals, etc.

I feel like I could have written it being in agreement with pretty much everything they wrote. :) This is definitely a recommended read.
