Purim is here!!!

Chag Purim!

The Jewish holiday of Purim started last night and goes through tonight.  It's great fun.  It's sort of like a Jewish Halloween with treats and the exchange of food gifts, and dressing up in costume.

Below are the shalach manot (Purim bags) I made filled with yummy goodies.

Cutting the cable cord stats...

As previously mentioned, we're in the process of cutting the cable cord.  That means not purchasing cable television from Time Warner Cable.  Instead we will by various streaming equipment and paying for streaming services such as Netflix.  This is in an effort to SAVE MONEY!!!   (One of my most favorite things.)  Now, we won't get rid of TWC completely as we will still use them to get the internet service for all of the streaming to run on as well as the home telephone.

Here are just a few of the stats for cutting the cable cord...

(Tune in for the stats of the new equipment and streaming services...then the big reveal on how much moolah we'll be saving!!)

Fun times (Really!)

Sheesh.  I've been soooooo, soooooo busy lately.  But some of it was really fun...

I recently came back from a long weekend with my oldest daughter to go to Florida and see my good friend and her family.  Her daughter (my goddaughter) was becoming a bat mitzvah!  We didn't want to miss it.  The rest of my clan couldn't make it, but my dd and I had a spectacular time.  Not only was it fun for us two to get away, it was so nice to see them and be part of the simcha (special happy event).  The weather was fabulous, the hotel was beautiful, the party was amazing, and so was the food, and company!!!

My goddaughter did a wonderful job and we are so proud of her.
