Da Bronx has Awesome FREE Gardening Programs Coming Up in May

The New York Botanical Garden is sponsoring some amazing FREE programs and events.

BRONX GREEN-UP & NYC COMPOST PROJECT

Bronx Green-Up and the NYC Compost Project work with over 200 community gardens, school gardens, and urban farms, providing opportunities throughout the year for you to get involved beyond the gates of The New York Botanical Garden.

Come out and join us to learn new skills, get your hands dirty, connect with people, or simply to enjoy fresh air and be active!

Hop aboard the Bronx Trolley for the first Bronx Food & Farms Trolley Tour of the season on Saturday, May 7 with Bronx Green-Up.

These tours are a fun and leisurely way to see multiple Bronx gardens in one day and learn about urban farming, beekeeping, bioswales, and rain gardens.

Whether you are a gardener, urban farmer, teacher, or resident interested in workshops, volunteering, or dropping off food scraps in your neighborhood, there is something for everyone.

To reserve your place or for more information, please contact Bronx Green-Up at 718.817.8026 or bronxgreenup@nybg.org.
